Fics like Coming Home After Forever (or Just Two Days)

NO WAY HOME SPOILERS!! “MJ,” he starts, then tries to parse his words together. “Dr. Octavius. Is he…” She leaned slightly and met his gaze. A soft pang of love flit through his chest. “Is he dead?” Her eyebrows quirk at that. “No. You met him for dinner a few weeks ago.” The memory springs to him, absolutely real but disjointed, just like any memory but it feels as if he’s watching a show. He remembers sitting with Otto in a small restaurant (because neither of them wanted to waste time on an overly-expensive bougie place when the family-run diner on 7th had better food than any of them), he barely recalls what they spoke of, but he mostly remembers that they were safe, and Otto was - “My dear boy,” Otto greeted him, a quick, warm hug before they both sat down. “It’s been too long.”
