Fics like God damn right, you should be scared of me

In between the two sides, wholeheartedly unbothered by the whole thing, was Charles. The professor looked calm, the embers of that righteous anger still in his eyes despite his outwards tranquil expression, hands buried deep in his pockets. He looked ridiculous, with his blue cardigan and his tweed pants, that laid out expression still lingering in his face. He looked ridiculous, and still, everyone held their breaths. He looked ridiculous because he looked dangerous, and not even the CIA agents were dumb enough to deny it. It was that unceremonious calmness that made him look threatening, that pleasant smile plastered on his face, shoulders relaxed, and feet firmly planted on the ground. Only a fool would look so calm in a situation like this. Or someone confident enough to know they could pull it off.
