Fics like In a Calm Stretch of Space

Kathryn Janeway sees her years alone in the captain’s chair as part of her duty to Voyager—she can’t afford romance with her own crew, end of story. But years spent helping former Borg drone Seven of Nine rediscover her humanity have awakened desires that frighten Kathryn as much as they call to her, and fighting them is looking like a battle even a storied Starfleet captain can’t win. Seven of Nine never predicted that Kathryn Janeway would be a suitable romantic partner, since Seven had been so furious with her on so many occasions. But after preliminary research on romance, Seven suspects that the steely captain may be the superior choice, after all. As they explore the perilous space between them, they may find the other too much to handle while hurtling through the Delta Quadrant. Or, this could be exactly what they both need.
