In Marauders (2019) #1 Kate Pryde goes immediately from banging her nose on the gate on page 2 to sailing to Krakoa on page 3. What was clearly cut for page length is the following chance meeting with Doreen Green, a.k.a. Squirrel Girl, that helps Kate accept that she’s a mutant no matter what the gate says, that she belongs with her family on the island, and that she can get there on her own terms. Also, find out exactly what song Kate is whistling to herself as she steers her ship home.
