Fics like Now I Just Keep You Warm

She wakes in the morning, skin to skin and wrapped up in Angel, and realizes she’s never had a morning quite like this before. This is the morning she expected to wake up to, the night of her seventeenth birthday. There’s a part of her that wants to cry for the girl she was, and the fact that it took so many years and so much pain to get to this moment. But Buffy has shed more than enough tears already over the cruelty of her world; it’s time to appreciate the wonder of the fact she’s getting this moment after all.
