Fics like Humans are Space Orcs... Right?

To the species across the galaxy, the new kids on the block are a species of omnivorous predatory apes calling themselves "humans." Coming from a Class IV deathworld, they quickly built up a reputation for being able to survive in environments that would easily kill other species. This led to most species attaching an image of nigh-invulnerability to humans, and as such, they were being thrown into increasingly dangerous situations by their extraterrestrial crewmates, no matter what the humans themselves think about it. And after several incidents involving humans finally meeting their match on various deathworlds, the galaxy is forced to come to terms with humans actually being mortal, with many vessels having to endure the emotional whiplash of quickly going from "Hah we're unstoppable we've got a human on our ship!" to "We just had to search the UniNet for how to hold human funeral rites." As my very first foray into the "Humans are Space Orcs" trope, this short story explores a universe where aliens take this trope way too seriously, and cause a tragedy as a result.
