Fics like All Our Yesterdays

There was a small theatre on Decatur Street in the early days of the nineteenth century, and just the same as nearly every playhouse in New Orleans, Lestat brought Louis there to see Macbeth. What the performers lacked in gravitas they made up for in sheer quantity of stage blood, and Lestat had spent the rest of the night teasing Louis for his squeamishness. It had been consumed by fire long ago. The old facade was rebuilt and replaced, the interior was converted to shops that had since fallen into disuse, and not even a small metal plaque still remained to remind passers-by of what it had once been. Lestat still remembered, of course. New Orleans, 1985. Lestat, struggling with change, comes home to Louis and an unexpected gift.
