Fics like My Sun, My Moon, and All My Scars

El Desperado is stuck in a limbo of 'almosts'. He's almost successful though he can't keep a title to save his life. He's almost happy though he still finds himself drinking away his sadness more often than he'd like. He's almost sure of himself though he keeps finding reasons not to be. He wishes he could push past almost, could find a place that felt solid and stay there for more than a fleeting moment. And then he meets this man who's the opposite of almost, who seems to be everything all of the time, who is loud and beautiful and somehow every color all at once. He's perfect and it's just Desperado's luck that he's the one person he can't have. ...almost. (aka the most feelings heavy stripper au that nobody asked for)
