Fics like There Was Sun

Google tells him there’s a ferry leaving from Barcelona to Tanger later that afternoon, and he’s just about to purchase a ticket when a shadow falls over him. “This seat taken?” a familiar, cocky voice asks, and Majid startles violently, jumping out his seat while his hands grip at the cutlery in front of him to lure his body into a false sense of security, his phone clattering on the table. The assassin snorts, an amused smile on his lips as he holds his hands up. “I’m unarmed, amico. I come in peace.” His eyes - more green than blue, Majid notices, and why is he noticing that - track the knife in his hands lazily. “That blunt little toy won’t save you, trust me. You might as well set it down.” “Why should I?” Majid grinds out. The assassin sighs, a disappointed gust of air, as he lets himself fall into the chair opposite Majid’s. “Because,” he explains, tone belittling and Majid is increasingly biting back the urge to reach out and put his fists to that pretty face, “if I’d wanted you dead, you would be. Now, sit.”
