Donghyuck’s body responds to Mark’s touch with ultrahuman sensitivity, coming to life beneath Mark’s fingertips as Mark’s skilful fingers dance expertly over it, playing him like a piano. Mark knows exactly how to touch to make Donghyuck’s blood sing, how to blaze a symphony over his skin. Mark thinks of the journey over the years to here and now, Donghyuck sitting beside him, himself but at the same time not, warm nonetheless. And maybe, all along, this warmth was all that mattered. Or: Mark, a scientist, builds an android in the image of his ex-lover, and they fall in love. They fall in love, and Donghyuck becomes real and human.
