Fics like By my side is where you’ll stay

A midnight stroll quickly turns sour when Wilbur and Tommy run into four vampire hunters. Wilbur toys with them playing cat and mouse while Tommy hangs back watches. Tommy sees one of them gearing up to attack Wilbur and Wilbur doesn’t even react. So he does the obvious thing and leaps in front of Wilbur getting a slash to the face. Wilbur stares at the cut on Tommy’s cheek and slowly looks towards the hunters. In the blink of an eye Wilbur easily massacred the men before scooping Tommy up and carrying him home silently. Tommy stayed silent the entire walk home because he’s picking up the vibes that he’s in major fucking trouble. Or: Fledgling Tommy gets hurt from trying to protect Sire Wilbur and Wilbur is not pleased.
