Fics like Sirius Black and the Deathly Reset

Sirius had thought there would be an afterlife. He had thought he would be able to see James and Lily, maybe even his brother Regulus. But he hadn’t. Instead, death to him was like a soft slumber, a restful solace, like sleeping on a warm cloud. He had never thought death could feel so nice. In this place, nothing else seemed to matter. Nothing else seemed to bother him. His only regret was that he did not know what happened to Harry— if he was happy, if he was safe. Well, he probably was not pleased with Sirius dying on him. But would he grieve for him? It’s not like he had the chance to become a proper godfather to him, but Merlin, he tried. He really, really tried, dammit. And then suddenly, there was a voice. “Ah, Sirius Orion Black. You will do.” -- A Sirius Time Travel AU. After falling through the Veil, Death gives Sirius a second chance, as well as an important mission. [Updates every time the author finishes writing an Act. Currently working on Act 3.]
