Fics like A Curse Worth Thanking

Saving him wasn't even a conscious decision. Klarion has and always will be an annoying little bitch… but he's grown on him a little bit. And even though Tim knew he wouldn't really die, he knew the witch boy would have still been hurt quite a bit if he allowed the weird magical eldritch being to drag him into the equally weird magical abyss. So he saved him. Not the first time they've helped each other out, in and outside of the team, but it was the first time Klarion had a conflicted face about it. In the end, when everyone was safe and the cheers were going all out, Klarion whispered something to him. "Successor of tragedy, Predecessor of greatness, Empty of worth and love, As savior of chaos you will shine, A beacon in a time worthy of your direction, And be saved in return." ---------------- When Tim saves Klarion's life, Klarion repays the debt through a 'curse' that doesn't kick in until a few years later when Tim tries to kill himself, and ends up in an alternate universe parallel to his own but many years in the past. Tim doesn't waste the gift given to him.
