Fics like He Will Open Your Wounds and Make a Garden (You Bleed The Same)

Shu Yi hasn’t felt this weak, and frail in the longest time. And when he did before, she was always there to comfort him, and replenish his strength. He kept going without her for a long, long time, suppressing so many of his needs and wants, such a big part of himself, just to survive, to function, to move forward, never letting anyone close enough to rip the bandage off of his hidden wound, sometimes so large it could swallow him whole if he let it. Gao Shi De ripped away the last few threads of it, and now Shu Yi feels completely undone, exposed, and vulnerable in the worst way he could think of, yet unable to fight it. Everything inside him is craving, wailing, for that touch, that hug, that sense of comfort, warmth, kindness, and care, and he’s crying, dismayed by his surrender. And because Gao Shi De’s comfort feels unbearably real, and downright earth-shattering.
