Tommy scowls at her, eyebrows furrowed, nose wrinkled, and as much as the flowers and Earth and grass and sun call him back, he stalks inside, because – that is not big man shit. Magic is, no matter what anyone says, not accepted. It’s not good. It’s not big man shit. It’s not poggers. And as much as the ten percent is advertised as integrated into the population, Tommy knows it’s not. Which is why he has to hide it.
