Fics like To you from failing hands we throw (--The torch; be yours to hold it high.)

Boromir, Captain of the Third Cavalry, has not expected his ridiculous quest to investigate a dream he had will result in embarking on an even more ridiculous quest to sneak a Hobbit into Mordor. Even more unexpected, if such things can even be quantified, is that Gandalf travels with a companion, these days. A golden-eyed, golden-haired absolutely terrifying companion with an unpronounceable name and a kind smile.
