Fics like They're Going To See

Anxiety and Autism quite often go hand in hand. They certainly did for Spencer, who more often than not found his life limited by what his anxiety told him he could do and couldn’t do. He had struggled with his anxiety all his life, since before he could remember Spencer was second-guessing almost everything he ever did because that little voice in his head told him “... but…” and instantly, whatever he had been about to do was undesirable. From saying hello to a potential new friend, to brushing his teeth when he woke up, the littlest part of his day could be overthrown by that little voice in his head who tricked Spencer into thinking the world only had eyes for him, a young boy who wanted nothing more than to disappear into the background and never be seen again.
