Fics like (Old Version) Something He Wished He Never Knew

He was twelve when he realized that what his family loved was not the same as what he loved. When he learned what the look in Techno's eyes meant when his older brother had pulled his sword free and cut down the commoner who had tried to touch Tommy's arm on one of their travels. When he understood that all the songs Wilbur created were about wars and violence, victory and death. A song sung with a cheery tone after Techno and their father returned from a battle they hadn't needed to be a part of. Twelve years old when Tommy saw his father rip a thief apart before the man could even defend himself. When the thief had only stolen a half eaten loaf of bread that Tommy didn't even want anymore. Tommy was thirteen when he discovered that what his family enjoyed was wrong.
