Fics like Echoes of Infinity

Midoriya Izu was born too early, too sickly, and quirkless to round it out. In spite of this, she endured through the medical crises, the bullying that began in earnest once her diagnosis was confirmed, and the slow emotional drift that seemed to be taking her mother from her. She lived, but every day was an exercise in balance she could feel herself starting to lose. And then she met All Might. He was exactly what he appeared to be in all of the video clips she had watched and more. Soft in ways she never expected and he seemed to care a great deal about her despite never having met her before. She always thought that meeting her heroes would change her forever, but she certainly didn't expect it to be like this.
