Fics like a ghost, an angel

He’s been trying to stay focused. He’s been trying to stay focused by keeping himself distracted. He’s been getting information from Rhodey about the stray new hero here and there, and there’s one Rhodey brought to him the other day that Tony has to follow up on, that 240p YouTube video the two of them watched together. What the hell was the name? He stood out, and if Tony was more clear-headed, he’d remember. He’s searching for the information on a Thursday evening, and that’s when he gets the e-mail about the bed and breakfast. A bed and breakfast that sits on a plot of land that Obie was fighting to take from the owners thirty or so years back, and now, thirty or so years later, the new owners are contacting Tony to sell. Want to move on, the place is past its prime anyway. And maybe ‘slightly haunted’. “Slightly haunted,” Tony says, the next day, sitting across the table from Happy at the cafe in the tower. He takes a bite of his scone and tries to hide his keen interest.
