Fics like On the Way Down

Julie Molina is turning sixteen. She knows that means that she will most likely wake up with her soulmate in her bed, and the first skin-to-skin contact will solidify the red string of Fate and an emotional connection. And she used to want that more than anything. But after losing her mom, Julie isn't so sure she wants a soulmate anymore. Luke Patterson is seventeen, six months away from his eighteenth birthday. He never got a soulmate. All he wants is someone to love and accept him for who he is, to feel that same connection with someone that he feels when he plays music. He's starting to think maybe he just doesn't have a soulmate, that he'll never get that connection that he so craves. Then Luke wakes up in Julie's bed on her sixteenth birthday, and they're thrown into a relationship that they don't understand and is completely different from what they already know. But maybe Fate didn't get it so wrong after all.
