Fics like Heart Over Hands

After defeating Thanos, Tony is left feeling lost and alone. His team is gone, Pepper has left him, and the one man he's fallen in love with rejected him. When Stephen Strange's evil doppelganger appears in his lab claiming to have searched through multiple timelines for him, Tony is left feeling conflicted, torn between the man he fell in love with, and a version of the man who loves Tony in return. ‘It was…this is all for Tony. The others who warned me against this, they didn’t know him, we knew him, we loved him-’ ‘I don’t love Tony,’ Strange interrupted, his shoulders rising in a wince as he looked behind him at Tony, who felt like he’d been gutted and left to bleed out, struggling to breathe as everything drained away from him. He’d known, he’d always known, but that didn’t make the grief bearable. ‘Don’t you dare lie to me! I am you, there is no conceivable timeline or universe where we don’t love Tony!’
