Manatsu is one of the five teenage girls who has been selected to be apart of this year's Blue Water High Club cohort: a group of competitive surfers who are trying to make it to the elite circuit. However, one of the other girls, Laura, is unimpressed with Manatsu's 'bumpkin' style of surfing and feels threatened by the rival that she sees in Manatsu until finally, it all bubbles and boils over.
