Fics like I Hate You (But I Was Just Kidding Myself) *TEMPORARILY ON HIATUS*

“Don’t.” Kelly whispered ㅡ no, he begged. “What?” Buck asked. “Go.” The former CFD firefighter squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head, clenching his teeth together. He opened his eyes, looking anywhere but Kelly’s face; “I can’t stay here, Kelly.” OR: Evan Buckley left Chicago five years ago, leaving Firehouse 51 and his ex-fiance Kelly Severide behind him. For good. But nothing stays the same forever; life has a way of jerking the rug out from under you. Or, in this case, it was a phone call from Christopher Herrmann that had changed Buck's new life in L.A. After five years, Buck is finally returning to Chicago to pay his last respects to his fallen brother, Otis, after the tragedy in the mattress factory. Tensions are high, broken hearts are still mending, feelings are bitter; Buck needs to make a decision. Because you can't outrun your past or your mistakes forever. * * * * * 12/01/2021: on hiatus until further notice.
