Fics like Time Woes with a Pinch of Frogs

Anne believed that things in Wartwood would stay relatively calm for a while, after the fateful visit from the tax collectors of Toad Tower. However, her predictions are proved wrong when a travelling merchant arrives in town, bringing with him hard-to-believe news that turn her already disrupted world upside-down yet again. The chance of a new lead proves impossible to ignore, and she convinces the Plantars to go with her to investigate the rumour, leading to an encounter with a stranger whose presence in Amphibia is as much of an oddity as Anne’s. Perhaps, there is something to be gained, and learned, from the meeting with the so-called ‘kid with the hat’ for all parties involved.
