Fics like Pancakes

He carefully tilted his head and peeked over his shoulder. Little socked feet poked out from the doorway, and the briefest glimpse of a stuffed animal hovered at the corner. His smile turned gentle. Turning back to the bowl, he softly called out, “You know, my daughter, Raelle, used to like pancakes for breakfast. Made me make ‘em all the time when her mama was gone.” He began to scoop and pour things into the bowl, “She used to like to help me. Always caught her sneaking extra sugar into the mix, though.” The socked feet shuffled further into view. “I haven’t made pancakes in a long time. More of a coffee for breakfast type of fella.” Edwin continued, “I might be a bit rusty at it. Sure could use some help.” (Takes place after Season 2 Episode 8)
