Fics like I Know Your Name As My Heart (Ni Kar’tayl Gai Sa Ner Kar’ta)

It is obvious he has chosen to refrain from familiarity. This is the way he regards others, when trying to calculate their motives, decide if they pose a threat and come up with the best course of action. This is the look usually reserved for strangers. Perhaps Cody is just that now—a stranger. He cocks his head to the side, genuinely curious even as he tests the waters. “Tion gar nu’morutar ni?” Do you not welcome me? AKA Cody finally finds Obi Wan on Tatooine. He tells him the truth—about order 66, and…a more heartfelt confession—hoping to find peace for both of them, but more importantly, for Obi Wan. He hadn’t planned to stay, but maybe, just maybe, they’ll find a little more in each other. (They do. They did. They always have and will. Denial is just a fun state to be in.) “Why do you cry?” “Because I have been blind, because I am a far bigger fool than I ever imagined. Because you overestimate my place in your life, but underestimate yours in mine.”
