A promise you don’t intend to keep is tantamount to a lie.” “I keep my promises.” She whispered, as unshed tears she couldn’t quite explain stung the backs of her eyes. “Especially to you.” He closed his eyes and exhaled shakily. “But to keep one promise to me, you’d be breaking another.” Whouffaldi hurt/comfort with some humor and smut thrown in for good measure ;-)
