Fics like and then the world goes boom

Brock hesitates before he calls out his command, Steelix spiraling high above all their heads, roaring and raring to go. There is sweat clinging to his brow, and his clothes feel grimy from days on the road, and these assholes are chumps, really, it shouldn’t be anything to defeat them, except- Except the trainers before him, collars high and caps pulled low- only their beady eyes blinking out in the dappled light of the forest clearing- have just sent out their pokemon, and one of them is very familiar. “Pikachu?” Or: Ash and Pikachu get captured, Brock is worried, and none of them are having a good time.
