Fics like Take Me to the Lakes (Where All the Poets Went to Die)

He wakes up. His hair is an inky black, long against his back. His eyes are a bright red. The world is cold, and his name, he’s told, is Izuru Kamakura. How boring. The doctors manhandle him for a while, observe his brain scans and his blood, but he pays it no mind; he already knows what the results should be. He observes the world around him. There is very little to see, he is underneath Hope's Peak Academy, in a lab, where he was just created. Observing himself, he notes with slight curiosity the recently healed bruises on his cheek, but dismisses it as something the doctors did. With nothing better to do, he shuts his aching eyes and goes to sleep. Unbeknownst to Izuru, Hajime Hinata stares in horror at his altered body lying next to him, and his new apparent transparency. Well, he always did feel invisible, at least the ghost thing can be his excuse now. Fuck.
