Fics like Don't Leave Me (Hanging on the Telephone)

Steve takes a deep breath and picks up the receiver, “Hello?” The kitchen lights flicker once, so quickly that he convinces himself that he imagined it, and then there’s a crackling, a kind of static-y hiss against his ear, and the rasp of a voice, “Hey, I need, uh, police?” There’s something familiar about the voice, something twitching at the back of his mind, the tip of his tongue, but Steve can’t quite place it. “Hello? Anyone there? Please?” it comes again, laced with so much desperation that it has the back of Steve’s neck prickling uncomfortably, “I need- shit, I need help.” AKA Billy is trapped in the Upside Down and somehow manages to call Steve's house.
