Fics like thaw, blossom

"A-Xu," Wen Kexing says, experimentally. He moves his fingers, then his arms. Some fireflies dance through them, but not painfully. "Do you remember—we used to have sex." "I remember," A-Xu says. He sounds patient. He shouldn't, Wen Kexing thinks, sound patient. They've spent months here, months wrapped around each other, not having sex. Back in the before, they fucked all the time, grasping hungrily at each other. It was urgent, so urgent, it felt like a constant need was in Wen Kexing—like every moment not spent in A-Xu's bed was a moment wasted. Enough grief can drown desire, sometimes. Sharpen it, others. Make it strange.
