Fics like The Lion and the Frog

A sickly young Scorpion courtier is married into the Matsu Family of the Lion Clan and has a less than pleasant new life with his domineering and abusive wife. When she departs for a typical summer skirmish with their enemies in the Unicorn Clan, the now renamed Matsu Todo is excited for the reprieve and plans to use this as an opportunity get a well needed break from the stress of his marriage. However, as time goes on it becomes apparent his wife has gone missing in action, and dreading the rule of a Lion household even more then her, he sets out with a Ronin yojimbo in her employ to find out what exactly happened. However, a simple search for remains leads the pair down a much larger rabbit hole than anyone could ever have expected, and the domestic strife of a single samurai couple soon becomes a secondary concern. ;- This fic does not assume you know anything about this setting, and uses no official characters or events, why I feel comfortable using "original work" as no prior knowledge of L5R is necessary to enjoy it. This is also a D&D setting in 3E as "Oriental Adventures" and now a 5E source book titled "Adventures in Rokugan" (I am not so shameless to tag it - yet)
