Fics like Becoming Humanity's Hope

After three grueling years with the Training Corps, Nikki Mercia is finally ready to join the Scouts Regiment. Thanks to her skills and experience in combat, she's ranked the highest amongst the 102nd class. However, her transition into the Scouts doesn't go as planned, as Commander Smith is immediately intrigued by the promise she shows. There's potential in her to be something great, and she comes to realize there's more to being a Scout than just killing Titans. As she struggles to become the hope that Commander sees in her, questions begin to rise about her past and who she really is. It doesn't help that Captain Levi, a man that she can't stand, is apparently the only one who can help her become someone who can make a difference. That is, if they don't kill each other first.
