Fics like dancing with the dead

Jo’s minding her own business in witness protection when she stumbles across her neighbour’s body and realises she’s been poisoned. Kate is reluctant to say the least when ACC Carmichael decides to send her to investigate a murder in a small village that’s recently come under their jurisdiction. Will the instant attraction between them overcome the weight of Jo’s secret? Will Kate solve the murder before it’s too late? And crucially, will she get fined because her grass is too long? AKA the Midsomer Murders AU that literally only the grannies asked for.
