Fics like distance measured in terms of the heart
The minute they get back to the hotel room, Alec collapses into Eliot’s arms. “Hey, hey,” Eliot murmurs, his voice so soft, hand coming up to cup Alec’s head, and Alec clutches him tight, burying his face into Eliot’s shoulder. “Hey, what’s wrong?” “Nothing,” Alec manages, then squeezes his eyes closed against the hot press of tears. “I’m just. I just.” He exhales shakily. Eliot’s fingers stroke his hair. “Yeah,” he says, his own voice breaking. “Yeah, sweetheart. We miss you, too.” Following his own passions and being apart from the crew isn't easy, and Alec can't help but feel the weight of distance. Coda to Leverage: Redemption 1x05
