Fics like Like a bullet in the back

Maybe if he hadn’t been so angry, Peter would have noticed the faint buzzing at the back of his neck when he’d stormed out of Mr Stark’s Audi. But he hadn’t, and it had cost him, because now he was staring down the barrel of a gun, pushed up against the greasy counter of an American diner, wondering how the hell he was supposed to wriggle his way out of this one. *** Or: After a mission goes awry, Tony and Peter have a heated argument. All Peter wants to do is call May so she can come pick him up, but when he steps into the diner in search for a phone, he unknowingly walks into a heist in progress, with no web shooters, no suit, no Ironman. Just him and a bunch of unhinged criminals. Well, Peter thinks, If I die, Mr Stark is gonna feel real bad!
