Fics like Sweet Almonds

Everyone in society must be part of a pack. It is a physical requirement to be part of at least one pack. For most the first pack they have is with their parents and families. To not have a pack means to die a slow painful death. Timothy Drake was born with a rare genetic defect, also known as Pack-less Disease, which makes him unable to form a bond with a pack. Thus he just has to make the best of his situation as the estimated life expectancy of someone with his condition is 18 years old. He has a lot to accomplish before his time is up and helping the Bat-Pack is a great choice in his opinion.
