Fics like The Cave-in

Someone was tapping Rick’s face, an obnoxious staccato pat pat pat. “Rick! Wake up, old chap, come on.” Jonathan’s voice, from very far away. Pat pat pat on his face. “Rick O’Connell, you wake up right now!” Pat pat pat. Rick shied away from Jonathan’s insistent pats and groaned as pain, white hot and tinged with pink, seared through his head. Jonathan patted his face again, and when he spoke he sounded encouraged. “That’s it, Rick, wake up, come on. Open your eyes. Can you hear me?”
