Fics like I'm a Silhouette (Chasing Rainbows on my Own)

Ray had taken one look at Mark that night, sitting there at the back table shivering and clutching a mug of tea like it was a lifeline, and had said nothing except “You know how to hold a tattoo gun, boy?” Mark hadn’t. He does now, though, almost two months after staggering into Ray’s storefront and falling asleep on Jaylah’s couch. He finds it comforting, almost; tattooing is so different from photography, but the buzzing gun in his hand brings pictures to life in ways that settle the anxiety in his chest. It’s creating something permanent, immortalizing something loved and treasured; he gets to watch these pieces of art come to life beneath his hands, but instead of freezing a moment in time, he brings to life walking canvases. Or: the Tattoo Artist!Mark AU no one needed but I decided to write anyways
