Fics like put your head on my shoulder (hold me in your arms)

“During those six years, Namaari crossed paths with Raya on occasion, and nearly every time, Namaari found herself captivated by the girl’s hair. A part of her knew it was weird to be so entranced with someone’s hair, especially when that someone was supposed to be her biggest enemy, but that didn’t mean she ever listened to that corner of her brain. It wasn’t just Raya’s hair that fascinated Namaari, but everything about the girl. She was outspoken, stubborn, wild, noncomforming, and even in the darkest of times, full of life that was reflected in her beauty.” - Namaari has been captivated by Raya’s hair, and Raya herself, for six years. She notices how Raya’s hair seems to reflect her emotions and who she is as a person. Namaari craves to run her hands through it during hard times, to calm and soothe it, as well as during times of peace, just to feel its softness and to be close to Raya. As enemies, the wish is only that, a wish, but as friends...as friends, maybe Namaari can provide the comfort she longed to give in the past, but never could.
