Fics like push the button (and let me know)

“I’d give you my word.” Mobius shakes his head, mouth curling around a wry smile. “Yeah. Not buying it.” “I’ll give you better words, then,” Loki says simply, like his suggestion is a very good one and he can’t fathom why Mobius would ever refuse him. Ducking his head a fraction, Mobius reins in his amusement. “How about this?” hands folded on the table, he watches Loki intently. “If you tell me why, I’ll answer.” A soured expression clouds Loki’s face, lips pinched tight. He jumps off the table. “Nice try. But I’m not in the mood to play patient and therapist.” Leaning back in his seat, Mobius twiddles with his pen merrily. “Ah, well. It was worth a shot. Maybe next time.” Oh yeah. Loki is definitely up to something.
