Fics like Something Borrowed

Set during 'Something Blue', recently engaged Spike and Buffy manage to sneak off to spend some much needed alone time together, only for Willow’s spell to end at a most unfortunate point in their tryst... “Buffy-" he reached out to stroke her hair back behind her ear and that was all she needed to respond. With slayer speed she pulled herself off him and sat back on the bed, wrapping the covers around her. “Get out,” her voice was dangerously low and hostile with an edge even Spike wasn’t used to. He rose but hesitated, turning to look at her as though wanting to say something else. This time she looked at him and her face crumbled slightly despite her best efforts. “Please... just go,” she whispered, her chin wobbled. Buffy didn’t move as he dressed quickly and left without saying another word. It was only when she heard the front door shut that she allowed herself to cry, hoping that he was far enough away to not hear. He wasn’t.
