To his right, he hears Inej stifle a snicker into her hand as her eyes flicker between her mother and Kaz. Amara Ghafa is not in the least bit intimidated by Kaz Brekker, or his reputation, or his fine dark suits. She looks pointedly at the seat next to Inej. “Join us for dinner, Mr. Brekker.” --- kaz meets the inlaws, drinks tea, marries inej twice, and (maybe) makes a joke.
