Fics like The Butterfly

The cats meowed some more. Andrew ignored them and grabbed the paper, almost throwing the glasses out of his way, and unfolded it. On the inside was some scribbling that looked - well, it looked like his handwriting, but that didn’t calm any of Andrew’s anxiety as he started reading it. 'Yes, I’m you. You’re in the future. Welcome to 2017. Don’t do anything stupid and listen to Neil if you don’t want to die.' Helpful, really helpful. Andrew turned the piece of paper over and found one last thing. 'The cats are hungry. Give them 1 scoop of the food in the cabinet under the sink.' ~*~ After making a wish on a star to appease Renee, Andrew wakes up ten years in the future, where he has the chance to learn that he has a future at all. There's a huge apartment, two cats, and Neil Josten, who Andrew can't figure out no matter how hard he tries.
