Fics like Family Pictures (Or: “Mark Rothko is very, very dead, Wei Ying.”)

“Lan Zhan…” Wei Ying whispers, and his hand on the door frame moves, just an inch, as if he, too, wants to reach out but has stopped himself. In that second, they’re staring at one another and Lan Zhan feels perfect peace and happiness. “Baba?” He hears a voice, and looks down. There is a child there. A child. Of about four years. With Lan Zhan’s golden eyes. * Art conservator Lan Zhan is called home to San Francisco and tries to reconnect with the lost of love his life... and the young son he never knew they had.
