Fics like you're a bandit like me, eyes full of stars

"A slow, tiny smile crept on Inej’s lips and he knew she understood that this was his harsh truth, the one he was laying down at her feet once more: that he wanted her but couldn’t have her. Except this time, he didn’t want to pretend, didn’t want to hide what he felt behind needing her for a job or appreciating her for her talents and nothing more. He wanted her, and it would cost him, cost them, maybe far too much. But they were two people who didn’t really care about bad odds anyway." Kaz and Inej learning to be with one another after Crooked Kingdom (events in Rule of Wolves might be mentionned in later chapters but you'll be warned!) Basically a slow burn filled with angst and fluff, and little plot :) (the title is a reference to the taylor swift song "cowboy like me" because it has strong kanej vibes imo)
