Fics like put a little love in my pocket (& sew my heart on your sleeve)

“Guess your new team is a bit better dressed than the Howlies,” Bucky says lightly. “Next thing you know, you’ll be more fashionable than me.” Steve snorts at the same time his heart aches, sound muffled into the compression tank he’s pulling on and sensation hidden dull under his skin. It means a lot, hearing Bucky remembers stuff from the past, especially stuff that they shared when they were together like Steve’s perpetual hopelessness with dress and Bucky’s habit of forcing him to take his hand me down clothes. “Doubt it,” he responds quietly. “I thought I did pretty good today, but Sharon told me that you’re apparently not supposed to pair brown shades with grey.” (alternatively: the civil war missing scenes fic that no one asked for feat. steve’s relationship with bucky & his clothes)
