The events of Hedra Ka have shaken the Galactic Commons to its core. In response, the GC parliament has began a warship programme and stopped all tunnel production while the crisis is sorted. This is little consolation to the crew of the tunneling vessel, Wayfarer. Ashby and his crew, still dealing with the trauma of Hedra Ka, now need to move on with their lives. A refitted ship and each other is all they need. However, when a job offer too good to refuse arrives on their doorstep they will make a choice that will change their lives. By taking on a passenger called Cascade, this job will lead them to unknown space to face challenges they could never imagine. All in the hope of doing one thing: getting Pei back. All the while, a sinister force moves in the mist of a distance nebula. The Tormei have returned to their Migration yet only one person knows why. The mysterious Pharaoh plots and readies his clan for a destiny that makes the galaxy tense. His motives are unknown and his powers are unrivalled. Yet, is his plan for the galaxy good or evil?
