Fics like Despite the Plans We Make

Professor Helmut Zemo has spent the last eight years mourning the loss of his entire family. A barley functioning alcoholic, his days are a blur of teaching andd drinking his life away behind closed doors. Until one Spring semester, he finds a quiet, brooding man with piercing blue eyes and one arm outside his lecture hall, looking like he’d rather be anywhere else. Bucky Barnes lost his left arm and his mental wellbeing in the service of his country. Since he’d been Medically Discharged, he decided to at the very least get a free education out of it. But, he’s in his thirties and going to college for the first time. Sam is leaving for a year with the Air Force. His Ethics professor is looking a little too attractive, and both his and Sam's ex has reentered his life with some-- rather shocking news.
